Why is it difficult to ask questions and not be repetitive?? Look back on Steve Evans interviews. Bruno, who is not a professional announcer asks good question. Amanda is just not good at her job.

I'm always amazed at all the different hats Bruno Massel wears. Sometimes in the pits, sometimes interviewing crew chiefs in the burnout area, other times at the track-end turnaround - all while racing his highly competitive Comp Elim car. Looks like he spends a considerable amount of time in the gym, too, when he's not busy at the track.

Amanda is a nice person, nice to look at and most of the time does an acceptable job - but not a great one. I miss Steve Evans.

I think they do too many top end interviews. With Bruno’s interviews, he gets to move around the track and ask a variety of questions. He knows all the mechanical ins and outs which is an advantage also. They stick Amanda at the end and think they have to interview the same drivers over and over about sometimes underwhelming races. I don’t remember Steve Evans over doing interviews on the top end. Maybe I’m misremembering though. The shows were usually much shorter. It’s not fair to compare him to anyone. He was the best! They could only dream of ever having another one like him.

Absolutely! When I was typing that I thought of how I should have included him with the same praise. Even my son who didn’t grow up with them says they were the best. Maybe we can get an A.I. version someday, lol.

alan mentioned she was in sebring a couple weeks ago, and not with nhra again in st. louis.
IMO nhra/fox is waaaaay better off with her than without her.

The drivers say the same old thing unless something really unusual happens. I'd rather interview the crew chief.

Alan was every bit as good as Steve Evans at top end interviews. The point of a question is to obtain information that is relevant too us!

I think she's pretty and that doesn't make one bit of difference as to how I assess her job performance. None. Why should it? Some of the most homely people in the world are some of the most astute and beloved people you'll ever meet. So we agree.

I miss this team of reporters. Even though this is hard to watch, I do every so often and I can’t imagine any other of the NHRA’s tv personalities before or now doing the dignified job they did.

I didn't say you did. So what. Put you on ignore? You're joking. The ignore function is for immature snowflakes who are too frightened to address an issue head on; I am not such a person; I assume you aren't and neither are the other fine members of this website. Mature people work out their disagreements, agree to disagree or simply avoid one another.

As I recall the situation, the "fans" weren't booing her, they were (allegedly) calling her a "fat b---h". Assuming that was accurate, they should have been escorted out, and banned for life.

"Let me be the first to half way confirm this. Words were thrown but we get harassed every year by two spots of fans in the Indy grandstands. Grown adults screaming “f*** you, fat b*tch”, etc. My team and guys can only take it so much before they say something back because we are family. I got into a small altercation with a woman who had been absolutely loud and terrible to us all weekend and after the semi final round loss, I gave in after a ton of screaming at me flipping me off. The words she threw at us were much worse than my much anticipated (by her) rebuttal. Yes, we are professionals and shouldn’t let this stuff bother us, but we are humans, y’all. We have feelings. We can hear your insults you scream from behind the fence. We are passionate and stick up for the team and family we love."
