VEGAS Mater meeting(s)? (1 Viewer)

No sweat Joelle....happy to help. You know it's your obligation to tell Ron I said, 'Hi' and 'Go Rounds!' right? ;)

Ya know what? I have NEVER stepped foot into the Wynn.
I never had until last weekend. I went to go check it out & get a feel for the place before I started working there. I went to the Penske/Wynn Ferrari dealership & the adjoining Ferrari store & it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! I'm a huge F1 fan & Michael Schumacher is my favorite.
I can't afford the Ferrari I want right now, but I'll be spending some cash in their store at the Wynn.
It cost $10 to get into the dealership unless you're a Ferrari owner. They have several cars on display upstairs. Downstairs they have upwards of 50 cars (I believe) in a fabulous exotic collection.
Sorry to derail the thread, but any 'Maters coming to Vegas who've not been to the Ferrari dealership & store should go check it out ---- if that's you're type of thing. (And it should be).

Kimi Raikonnen is taking Schumi's place at Ferrari next year. And while I love Kimi & can't wait to see him in a realible Ferrari, as opposed to his Mclaren Mercedes which always lets him down mechanically, I'm very, very sad that Michael S. will retire after Brazil in 2 weeks.:( :(

On a GTO forum I frequent, someone started a thread that simply said "Schumacher retires." I almost flipped out, thinking it was Tony. But then I read it and all was good! :)

Well, I finally found everything at an affordable price, so I'm flying in Thursday morning and flying out Tuesday. Can't wait to hit the strip and to meet folks.:D

How about we get together at Joelle's place for a Bar-B-Que Thursday afternoon, then we can head to the Budweiser draw party.

The house will be packed up, so you all better bring chairs and a bbq grill!
Seriously, let's all meet up for dinner before the draw party. It's my last day of work before I leave!

Joe...Post the meetings!!

Joe,

Since you're the unofficial offical mater meeting scheduler...you gunna post when they are?

Terry :D

8 days and counting!!!

I may just have to place this thread on "Ignore". I'm really starting to get bummed out about not making this race after several years of perfect attendance. I'm definitely going to miss seeing all the Mater crew. There is a sliver of a chance that I'll get to Pomona but that's not looking to good either at the moment.

I hope we can get something going as far as a Mater meeting for Friday. Looks like I will be in a moving truck headed for Colorado Sunday morning, so that means Saturday's racing is out too. Still hopeful I will be at the Bud Shootout draw party, though.

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait ... a week away.

I am finally going to buy my tickets online this weekend, I think...or I may just wait till I get to the track. I am none too keen on the idea of giving TicketBastard my hard earned money.

In any case, I'll have my blackberry while I'm there, so someone just shoot me a message at [email protected] to let me know when and where to show up. :)

Oh, Kelly H., I seem to recall a discussion about getting Capps a real men wear pink t-shirt...I can't remember the context, just that he needs a pink t-shirt. ;)

I need some help guys. I have to e-mail a paper to my professor on Saturday, is there anybody who has internet access at the track, like one of the internet cards or something?

e-mail me at [email protected] or [email protected] before Wednesday if you can. Thanks.
