It's funny you guys are brining this up, I was on the fathead website about 2 weeks ago looking for anything Drag Racing related and sent them an e-mail requesting stuff, so maybe if everyone hits them up, they can come talk to NHRA about it.

Does anyone know if there is a document that lays out all the merchandising restrictions by NHRA? I'd be interested in reading them...

That is correct for merchandise sold away from NHRA events - i.e. Team Stores online. Getting approval to sell merchandise from team trailers or at the Nitro Mall at events is an entirely different issue.
If there is a document outlining requirements for NHRA approval, it is probably in the Procedure Manual. I've heard horror stories from two former TF team managers who didn't play along with the NHRA marketing department and were banned from selling merchandise at events.
