Mopar Challenger V-10 Drag Pak Makes Competition Debut at NHRA Gatornationals (1 Viewer)

The Mopar Challenger V-10 Drag Pak saw its quarter-mile debut this weekend at the NHRA Gatornationals, as Frank Teuton Jr. of Houma, La., powered his V-10 Drag Pak to the third round of eliminations in Stock class competition at the event.

Teuton qualified with a 9.789-second elapsed time at .811 under index, placing in the middle of the pack in Stock qualifying. He used a 9.711 pass to defeat Timmy Miller in the opening round, then trailered Russell Johnson with 9.791 run at 127.35 mph. Teuton exited in the third round but still posted a 9.796 pass at 140.80 mph.

"We’re very happy with the car," said Jeff Teuton, who entered the Drag Pak in the event. "It got down the track real good. We think it can do even more. We’ll be at a number of events this year campaigning the V-10 Drag Pak."

That is a normally aspirated engine that never made a full pass. Amazing, bet if he did it will run 145 mph. That on 9 inch wide tires is simply amazing.
