metrodome (1 Viewer)

In further develpments, a fourth panel has torn, and all repair work has stopped for the time being. The dome may be done for this season.

EDIT: Well, at least as far as the Vikes are concerned it's done for the season. After Chicago, their last two games are away games. The dome has seen it's last football game of the season.

brian, i agree, the sun country deal would have been a blast.........ending
with a taxi ride home from airport! :D

david, i'll go out on a limb and say i think the Vikings will play one more season
in the dome..........while a new stadium is built.
personally, i wish they'd play in TCF for a year and rebuild in same location;
i understand the parking space / development argument for a more rural area,
just doesn't do much for me; i like downtown sports venues.

jerry jones' fortress does nothing for me, it's in the middle of nowhere.

It doesn't matter where Monday's game is played......

in my best Denny Green, "THE BEARS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!". :D

the bears are just lucky they will kick our ass in what will be one of the most
unique NFL contests in many years........radio up here now saying t-jack will
not start, 3rd stringer webb most likely to get nod.
the bears can redeem the 'snow-job' handed to them last weekend.

reports now saying metrodome repairs halted - another huge panel gave way
releasing more snow/ice to dome floor - unsafe to work till snow removed
from sagging panels

i think if it wasn't for the 50th anniversary activities, we'd have taken
anyone's stadium, much less soldier field for sunday's game.

$730k is figure the star tribune is reporting - estimated tab from the U
to host this single game - tab to nfl and vikings (insurance)

I will be at work during the game (I work second shift.) I'll have to keep track of the game through ESPN live. My employer blocks (for good reason, I'm not complaining.) audio and radio feeds.

Stick a fork in this team. They're playing for respect, and they're not getting much of that from me.

Rumor was that if not for the 50th Anv stuff that they were coming back to Detroit.

i'll be the first to admit it - the vikings are soooo lost, it's embarassing.

so much talent and so little to show for it.........a year to forget.

he'll play - it'll be -10 below outside @ TCF stadium,
he won't feel a thing

heard last nite dome unfixable in time for monday game; more damage found
than had thought.

nick - you can't like the vikings AND the steelers - pick one, can't do both. viking's fans hate pittsburgh.

The Vikings are a cluster F right now, I want to be a V fan... All they need is a QB... Childress being fired is a start, he brought in T Jack... failed to admit that it was a mistake... then brought in Favre for one year too many and here we are now rudderless.

So much talent, Peterson, Rice, Harvin, Shiancoe, Williams' brothers, Allen - I guess their pass defence has holes, but it starts with the QB. There is such a lack of confidence in the QB when Favre is not out that the whole team just is not motivated and it shows.

The same thing happened with my Penguins (NHL) at the beginning of the year. The starting goalie was for whatever reason just HORRIBLE. You could just see the team unmotivated knowing that if they get the lead itll vaporize with a crap goal (it happened many times since the playoffs last year).

When the goalie figured it out, they went on a 12 game win streak. Same exact team two different stretches, only difference is the goalie worked it out.
