Speed Scene Live, the Internet drag racing show will bring in Blake Bowser, track manager of Auto Club Famoso Raceway, on Tuesday night, Dec. 5, to talk about the plans for the upcoming year of vintage drag racing at the newly paved Bakersfield facility.

Famoso’s scheduled nostalgia races will take the place of the Goodguys VRA series starting with the annual March Meet on March 10–11 and closing out the year with the Fuel and Gas Finals on Nov. 3-4. Bowser also will talk about his plans for the future of nostalgia drag racing on the west coast. Speed Scene Live is on Tuesday nights at 6:00 p.m. Pacific/9:00 Eastern at www.speedsceneracing

"BAKERSFIELD MAKES CHANGE & ADDITION

The Agent got a call from the folks at the Bakersfield, CA, track to tell us they’ve decided to move the Fuel & Gas championships to a yet undermined weekend before the California Hot Rod Reunion on Oct. 12-14, 2007. That will make the CHRR the final event of the Bakersfield season for Nostalgia Pro classes. We’ll let you know as soon as the date gets set.

They have added a race on the weekend after the CHRR for Nostalgia Sportsman Eliminator cars ONLY! No professional classes at this event. [12-13-2006]"
