Betcha it's more than the body;)

Great for Jerry and the sport! I always had faith he would be back and as someone said we now have a new war started with the drinks !
Will other drinks come into play ?
A guy down the street from me is a distributor for a " NITRO ENERGY DRINK " . Tell me where their ad budget will go once they are mainstream .
Jerry always right there and a innovator. Speed on Brother !

Well I dont want to be negative about this but what exactly is the deal? I mean the fact that there is no date on when they will be hitting the track seems a little suspect to me. And if Im not mistaken the body on that Toyota is one of the cars Jerry ran back in '04 and not the new Solara body that Jim Head and Scott Kalitta are running? This could be because those bodies are in limited production?? But regardless this seems a little like smoke in mirrors to me at this point.

I do however wish Jerry and Dale the best of luck if they have got the funding in place.

I think Toliver is too smart and experienced with potential sponsors and being soooo close to announce something that isn't signed sealed and delivered.

The Celica body would be due to the limited Solara bodies available.

Jerry will need to gear up, this is going to take time and he wouldn't be able to place firm orders on anything with suppliers until the funds were garaunteed. I would expect things to move quickly from here.

Bobby Bennett asked Toliver at the press conference why these old drivers got the Energy Drink Sponsors? Did they need it. Toliver wanted to whack him.

Maybe Kenny and Jerry could get associate money from Viagra and Cialis. Then there could be the ***** wars... On second thought, they would probably be more likely to sponsor a digger.

I was told at Pomona that they are Trying to make it to Gainesville, but Houston or Vegas might be more realistic.

Nothing could be worse than throwing a team out there with no testing under their belt and 3 or 4 races already in the books by the time you start.
I hope the sponsor understands that logic because they will be working on a base line for a while!
Dale is awesome but it will take a while for him to sort it out.

I'm surprise Red Bull hasn't thrown any money at Drag racing yet. This sport kinda reflects its 'out there' image.

The have just thrown $$$$$ at NASCR@P establishing their own TOYOTA team, currently own 2 F1 teams and spend big in Motorsport world wide.

I expected the Toliver announcement to be Red Bull not Rockstar.

My Dad works for the Red Bull F1 team over here in England and trust me Red Bull are seriously trying to break the US market more and dominate sales like they do in most other countries.

The F1 teams are fully funded out of the Red Bull owners personal fortune. After all when it's marked up 90% on the production cost it makes sense where the money comes from. The company is huge and the man likes to spend his paycheck on anything extreme. After all the man first pushed his product on the slopes of his hometown in Switzerland, hence he sponsors any snow based event in sight.

If Red Bull are as serious as they state they are you will see a Red Bull Dragster or FC sooner or later!

I am suprised NOS energy drink don't get involved....we even have it in the UK now and it's made by the people who make Lipton Ice.

I read an interesting article about Red Bull not only sponsoring the NASCAR team but also owning everything. No big associate sponsor stickers plastered everywhere...

and you only read FHM for the articles hey Paul ;)
Would it be ironic if NOS energy drink sponsored a Pro Stocker ??.......

Mark.
