Alexis Retiring? (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to wrap my head around how her post could be translated into possible retirement. Alexis spent some time with us and she lives, eats and breathes racing.
I didn't say it had anything to do with retirement, but it sounded like she was having some personal issues and sounded pretty frustrated- irritated at somebody.

I'm hearing this really is just a rumor that has been floated around before, I hope so as IMO we need her out there.

Hope they keep the car going. I think it could be a real championship car with tommy d. and a top notch driver.
For whatever reason Alexis couldn't give it her full attention this season. ( has anyone heard her explain why beyond family matters??). But they could be a real threat next year

I think Tony Pedregon let it slip on a show when he said something like health issues kept her from attending how ever many races it was.
I have not seen anything that makes me think she is leaving. This rumor was going around last year too.

Her post sounds to me like someone who is just tired of all of the crap that constantly whirls around in life and just had to let the frustration out, which I totally understand. Had to chuckle at the flip phone comment at the end as I traded in my I phone for an old school flip phone when I retired in 2014. One of the best things I did in the last 3 years

Ironic she’s married to Jesse James and would be ranting about the sanctity of marriage, infidelity, women doing anything and porn being shoved down our throats.

IMO when you spend several million a year for your kid to race it is one thing, to spend a few million for someone else to race, not likely. Unless someone in marketing can justify the returns it ain't going to happen

The ROI for these sponsors must be there or there wouldn’t be any at all. Not ALL of them are B2B deals.

Connie has never really had much of a problem securing sponsorship for his cars. I wouldn't worry to much about it. But, Alexis will definitely be missed out here on the tour. I can still remember how much fun we had and how good she did when she licensed in Del Worshams car in Ennis Tx. She has been a great ambassador for the sport of drag racing. Speaking of Ennis Tx...it was freaking hot here today.
