I thought that teams weren't allowed to test on same track National event was taking place next. There are teams testing later this week, has rules changed or am I just totally messed up.

They will test today and tomorrow. The rule says you can't test within a week of the first qualifying session.

They have been doing this Indy test after BIR for a long time.

All sorts of new stuff being tried out these next 2 days.

That's true. I got an e-mail promoting a free ticket to the test session today. The catch is... a person would have to buy a 5 day general admission pass or a 5 day top eliminator pass in order to get the free ticket to the test session.

I'm not a good spectator Paul, I spent more time hanging out in some of the pits eating pizza. Most of the funny cars were in the mid to high ninties, and as Paul Songas said Hagans 3.93 at 324 was low in f/c. I think Crampton went 3.72 and i saw Billy Torrance run a 3.73. It's suppose to stay in the sixties until around noon today so there might be some ptetty good runs this morning. It's deffinitely going to be great weather today with a high of around 77.

I find the testing sessions are really getting interesting and many of the tricks of the trade may not take place for the general public to view.
I do believe that the N.H.R.A. will be watching every more many teams make.
