Speed bump or deal breaker? (1 Viewer)

In the strange but true department, when Tommy Johnson Jr faced off with John Force in the semi’s this weekend, a lot was on the line. Even though they ran near identical times, John Force came away with the victory. Normally, just a disappointing loss, now it could be a deal breaker. With a win, Tommy Johnson Jr would have found himself no more than 48 points out of the eighth spot (John Force) and possibly only 28 points out. Instead, Tommy Johnson Jr finds himself 104 points out of eighth (Jim Head) and with only two races remaining, the hole is very deep. What a difference one run can make.
