Pro Stock Mount Rushmore (1 Viewer)

I don't know that I'd change your list, Keith. It's pretty solid.

I think 10-20 years down the line we're adding Greg Anderson to that list, but as of right now it's a little early.

WJ, Glidden, Jeggie and GA.

To me, this one was easier than the funny car one. Those 4 names account for half of all the Pro Stock wins in history and two thirds the championships.

Probably the single most difficult class to judge for me, but it's going to have to be

Bob Glidden
Warren Johnson
Lee Shepherd
Bill Jenkins

I hate leaving out Jeggie, Sox & Martin, Dyno Don, Greg Anderson, Butch Leal, Frank Iaconio, Gapp & Roush,
WTF?? Where is Ronnie Sox!!??

Grumpy and Glidden are set in stone for me.

The rest is open for discussion, but those two are the Icons of Pro Stock.

WJ
Glidden
Anderson
Jeggie

Would've liked to have put Alderman on there personally, but I wasn't going there!

There will be no perfect list with so many great contenders.

Bob Glidden
Warren Johnson
Sox & Martin
Bill Jenkins

Since innovation is part of the game these names have to be there:
Glidden
Jenkins
WJ

Fourth open to debate: Ronnie Sox, Lee Shepherd, Don Carlton, Dyno Don......

Too soon for Anderson or Jeg - even though Jeg is one of my faves.

Shepherd's cylinder head mastery certainly has him in ANY conversation regarding Pro Stock innovation.

He also pissed off a lot of people in the NASCAR garage when he did some work for Raymond Beadle's new team in '83/'84, they were fast straight away. The NASCAR folks weren't happy that a bunch of drag racers with a failed Indy Car driver (Tim Richmond) were beating their ass.
