Pre-entry List Tops 110 For Eastern Spring Test Nationals (1 Viewer)

PRE-ENTRY LIST TOPS 110 FOR EASTERN SPRING TEST NATIONALS PRESENTED BY TORCO’S COMPETITIONPLUS.COM

VALDOSTA, GA. – Billed as the largest test session on the eastern seaboard, the 8th annual Eastern Spring Test Nationals presented by Torco’s CompetitionPlus.com rolls into Valdosta, Ga., March 8th through 14th. The pre-entry list for the South Georgia Motorsports Park-hosted event has now topped 110 professional entries ranging from Top Fuel dragsters to Pro Outlaw 10.5 cars.

The breakdown of entries lists Top Fuel (5), NHRA Pro Stock (12), NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle (8), Pro Modified (35), Mountain Motor Pro Stock (23) and various Pro Street, Pro Outlaw 10.5, Top Alcohol and Pro Stock Snowmobiles.

Testing begins on Thursday and continues through Wednesday of the following week. A Chicago Style Shootout will be contested on Saturday.

The defending champions for the 2006 ESTN event are Allen Johnson (NHRA Pro Stock), Josh Hernandez (Pro Modified), Steve Spiess (Mountain Motor Pro Stock), Pat Musi (Pro Street), Mick Snyder (TAFC) and a score of Pro Stock Snowmobiles.

Bob Vandergriff, Jr. (Top Fuel) and Tommy Johnson, Jr. (Funny Car) were the quickest in the respective nitro-burning category.

Thursday and Friday are unlimited test days. Saturday will be run on a schedule with the event slated to complete at 5 PM. Testing resumes on Sunday and continues through Wednesday.

Spectator tickets are $20 for adults and children that are under 6 - 12 years are $5. College students and military are $15 with a valid ID.

Professional drivers who pre-enter are given free entry for up to three crew members.
