New track coming to the Pacific Northwest? (1 Viewer)

There may be a reason they are keeping it under wraps which is why I haven't given any significant details. As soon as there is a formal announcement in the media I will post it.

Ridge Motorsport Park

Has been in the works for a few years, but they are supposed to be laying pavement and concrete (1/4 will be all concrete) this fall.
Track is based on NHRA specs, but they have not decided what sanctioning it will be.
It is all private ownership, from a guy who was in the transport business I think. In Shelton Washington on the South West of Tacoma in Mason county

The Ridge Motorsports Park

Will be ready to go in the spring

Good to hear about this. I'm glad for those of you in the Great NW.

Keeping it out of the media is the best way to go. I like the line in the Sept. update about advising against doing this. Anything worth doing is hard, but in the end all the more sweeter.

I agree keeping it out of the media is a good idea and I don't feel comfortable publishing the specifics out of respect to those who are developing the track as I don't have permission to do so. I will say it's not the Ridge Motorsports Park but I'm glad to hear about that one too.

I think the only thing that could doom the project is if the economy really gets bad but as far as I know at this stage money is not an issue. If this is a boondoggle it won't be the first project to go south and to be posted here. But this one looks real promising.

ps: there are a couple of hints I put into the Cap Racing Home Page story.

Hmmm, tribal land, which casino will be funding this? Whoever, it's great and welcome news.
Renegade Raceway in Yakama WA is on tribal land, just without the funding of a casino.

Here is an update: My crew chief knows someone who should be in the loop on this and he said he knew nothing about it. But I would lose all hope just yet...... He's going to make some calls and see what he can find out.
