hey any one have any funny car models photos thank you (1 Viewer)

wow those are crazy! they dont look like store bought kits to me (im no expert so i could be very wrong) if those are built from scratch thats super impressive...if theyre kits that you improved still very impressive!
Thank you Chad. They were store bought kits that I modified. The Hawaiian is mostly the kit, I added all the hoses, etc. The Candies and Hughes Cuda was just a fastback Cuda kit, I made all of the decals on a computer, then printed them on a white decal sheet. Also added all of the braided hoses, etc to it.

I found the Smoking Joe's decals on the internet and used a Fruit of the Loom kit and airbrushed the yellow fade to purple.

Here's a dragster diorama that I built probably 30 years ago.

By the way, if anyone has a Revell Tony Schumacher Army dragster kit or a set of the decals from Slixx from the '03-'04 season please PM me. I damaged the top decal on a model I did about eight years ago and the kit and decal sheets have dried up.

At the Bakersfield March Meets or CHRRs there is usually a vendor that has a ton of drag racing model kits in sealed original boxes for sale.

Again, I lost interest about 30 years ago of building straight out of the box....

An eBay pile of parts needed some love so this one was from what parts were NOT missing

OK, these WERE straight out of the box for display so you could see how nicely they could be built. At the time I had 30 of these Mongoo$e and Snake combo kits to sell.

I forgot about this one. One of the first kit bashes that I did. It took me about 6 months just to get it where I could paint it because I didn't realize it at the time, but the body filler I was using to smooth out the body was slowly eating the plastic as it gassed out so every time I started to sand it the body would actually mis-shape from the plastic being soft and squeezing the body with one hand while I sanded with the other.

Here is a great way to kill a day or three on the topic of drag racing models.
