HAGAN CONTINUES PRESEASON TESTING

March 20, 2008 - Matt Hagan and crew departed for Rockingham Dragway, "The Rock" today for a weekend of testing with the Shelor.com/TORCO Monte Carlo Nitro Funny Car.

This will be the third test outing for Matt Hagan Racing for the 2008, with prior sessions taking place at Rockingham and Valdosta.

"We had some cold, rainy weather when we were at Rockingham last time, and we lost 3 days to weather in Valdosta so we haven't had the best of luck with the elements so far this preseason," said Hagan. "We're hoping to have some clear days this weekend."

Hagan's Funny Car has so far achieved low 5.0 second times with a shutdown at 1,000 feet.

"The goal for this weekend is to get 4 or 5 laps in and prepare for San Antonio," said Hagan."

The Matt Hagan Racing crew will also be focusing on continuing to show fast and efficient turnarounds between passes.

"In Valdosta we were able to learn a lot about the clutch management we need to be focusing on," said Matt Hagan Racing Crew Chief Jay Lewis. "We're going to continue to work on our turnaround times and just try to refine what we're doing to be ready for San Antonio."
