[coverattach=1]Marstons Mills, MA – March 12, 2009 –Follow A Dream will kick-off its 2009 NHRA Drag Racing Series schedule this weekend (March 13-15, 2009) at the ACDelco NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville , Florida . Jay Blake, owner of Follow A Dream and the only totally blind crew chief in the world of motorsports, has announced that the team’s Permatex/Wynn’s/Texas Roadhouse Top Alcohol Funny Car will run a 10-race schedule this year that will include five NHRA National events along with five NHRA Division 1 races.

“This weekend is going to be very exciting for the team,” said Jay Blake. “The entire team worked very hard throughout the winter getting the Permatex/Wynn’s/Texas Roadhouse Chevrolet Impala SS Top Alcohol Funny Car ready to run,” added Blake. “We’re coming out strong with the same great group of guys that have been so dedicated to getting this car down the track the last several years and couldn’t be happier that we’re all here together.”

Gainesville holds special meaning for Follow A Dream, where they won the event in 2006. “It’s a tough field here in Gainesville,” said Blake. “We’re ready for the challenge that we’ll be facing and if all goes well, we’ll be able to build on the success we’ve had here in the past and get the season off to a great start.”

Follow A Dream found quite a bit of success in the 2008 season, with 3 division 1 final round appearances. Team driver, Marty Nothstein also made the fifth fastest pass in Top Alcohol Funny Car history at the NHRA SuperNationals at Englishtown last June.
