I finally got caught up on my National Dragster reading. In the Jan. 23, 2009 issue in the article about Tony winning Driver of the Year, I saw this below a picture of Judy, with Dave McClelland, Tony Schumacher and Jack Beckman.
"Schumacher was joined at the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasting Association banquet by legendary NHRA announcer and broadcaster Dave Mclelland, who was honored with the Pioneer in Racing award for longtime dedication and achievement that has made a difference in the sport; Judy Stropus, who handles public relations for Don Scumacher's Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle teams and received the Jim Chapman Award for exellence in motorsports public relations; and Funny Car racer Jack Beckman."
Dave's award was mentioned in another thread. Congrats to him, too!
I'd like to congratulate Judy.....the award was well deserved! It's a pleasure to know her, truly.
