Attitudeapparelonline.com to sponsor $10k hole in one challenge
(Conroe, TX) Steve Kent, Rodger Brogdon and the Attitude Apparel Pro Stock team announced today their support of the annual Greg Morris Memorial golf tournament to be held in conjunction with the upcoming O’Reilly Auto Parts Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex September 23-26 with a $10,000.00 challenge.
“Greg Morris was not only a staunch supporter of drag racing at the Texas Motorplex, he supported the racers, the division and the organization as well,” said Rodger Brogdon. “The Golf tournament has helped to support the daughter that Greg left behind and we’d like to lend our support as well.”
“After (NHRA announcer) Bob Frey made a hole-in-one during last year’s tournament in his first ever golf outing, we decided at Attitude Apparel to reward the next golfer to do it. This year AttitudeApparelonline.com will put up $10,000.00 for a hole-in-one during the Greg Morris Memorial Tournament. $5000.00 will go to reward the skill (or luck) of the winner, $2500.00 will go to D.R.A.W. and $2500.00 will go to the Greg Morris Memorial fund in the winner’s name.”
“Bob Frey said after last year’s hole-in-one that he was retiring from golf after his one and only time on a golf course. Those of us on the Attitude Apparel / PISTONATOR team believe that we might be able to coax Bob out of retirement for a shot at the challenge. With $10,000.00 on the line though, I have a feeling that Bob may have some stiff competition. Everyone at Attitude Apparel though is just looking forward to everyone having a great time for a very worthy cause.”
The Circus Motorsports 7th Annual Greg Morris Memorial Golf Tournament will be open to all NHRA racers, crew members, staff and sponsors. The four player team scramble type tournament will be held at the Old Brickyard Golf Course in Ferris, TX, just 15 minutes from the Texas Motorplex. At the conclusion of the tournament, there will be a dinner and awards presentation followed by an auction at the clubhouse. Shotgun start begins promptly at 11:00 am
