The COPO Camaro in NHRA Stock (1 Viewer)

If I had spent a life times years-and 2 life times money making my stocker competitive-and it got bumped back to being a bracket car because of this, I'd complain. But I haven't-so I think its great there is factory involvement from the big 3 again.

I agree. Also these are purpose built drag cars for track only. Stock suppose to be production built cars of at least 50 units. I like the idea of factory cars but they belong in super stock. How would you like to be racing a roll bar equipped ford escort at 15 secs and have a 8 sec roll cage car bearing down on ya. At least the camaro is not as much unfactored like the fords and dodges.

Thank you Armand! That was what I was trying to say but you know truck drivers & keyboards don't mix. ;)

OK, say you take a bone stock 1969 Camaro and decide to go racing with it. How much to buy the car, and how much to prep it to be competetive for the class?

I'd wager you'd not be that far from $90,000 before you're all done and ready to race.

You can't make a 69 Camaro or Vette competitive against these under rated factory cars. I have a buddy who parked his AA/SA 69 L 88 Corvette because of it. He's got jack and he said he could spend it all and still not be competitive.
