Grand Am Rolex cars (Daytona Prototype and GT classes) will be testing at IMS on Thursday to do a feasibility study for a possible future event here.
Testing is open to the public.
Nice change of pace if you have the afternoon free.

IRL Chicago Saturday night, Moto GP Sunday, Rolex test Thursday and of course US Nationals Fri-Mon.
UPDATE: Fans can watch the Grand-Am sports car test Thursday, Sept. 3 from the Turn 2 Viewing Mounds and South Terrace Grandstands, both adjacent to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum.
