Snyder Reaches the Finals in Virginia (1 Viewer)

Thus far, the 2011 season has been good for Mick Snyder and the Snyder Motorsports Race Team. They are the only Team to make it to the semi-finals or better at each of the 6 ADRL Races in the Pro Extreme category, but until this weekend they had yet to make it to the final round. The Powersource Transportation Corvette did just that, but came up a little short of the winner’s circle, gaining valuable points as the season winds down.

“It was a really good weekend for us. We have been talking about having a final round match up between Scruggs and I since we brought this car out a year ago. Of course, we wanted to win, but when it is your teammate and friend, no one really loses in that deal. We also gained some points on the leaders, and if we can keep that up over the next 3 races, I think we have a shot at the championship,” said Snyder.

The 30 year-old from DeMotte, Indiana qualified 4th in the 16 car field with a 3.68 at 206 mph. In the first round Snyder earned the win and lane choice with a 3.70 and continued to get quicker in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, running 3.68 and 3.67, respectively. In the final round, Snyder left first, and ran a 3.69 but was unable to get the win at the stripe.

“We have 3 more races left, and this car is running really good, and we have a handle on her. We need a little luck and a few things to happen, but we are still in the hunt. Hopefully, we will be able to get this car in the winner’s circle for all the great people behind us when we head to Rockingham in a few weeks.”

The Snyder Motorsports Race Team would also like to thank their associate sponsors Lencodrive Racing Transmissions, R & R Racing Products, Flatout Gaskets, NGK, Lucas Oil, Snyder Auto, VP Racing Fuels, JE Pistons, PSI Springs, Long Printing, Goodson, Jeg’s and The Winning Team for their continued support this year.
