Cars that changed drag racing
In a sport like ours, where evolution carried us from stripped-down Model Ts to 330-mph Top Fuel dragsters, what are the most significant race cars that have marked the milestones along the way? We want to hear your thoughts!
I think we all know about these cars, but I'm anxious to see what the comments will be. I sent Phil an e mail w/ my thoughts. I vote Dick Kraft as the father of the dragster & go from there. Who was the first to run a blower? Nitro? Nitrous (yes they knew about it back then), turbos, blown Chrysler engine, slicks, tube chassis, on & on.
