JEGS.com superstar Kenny Wallace ready for second shot at Prelude to the Dream (1 Viewer)

[coverattach=1]DELAWARE, Ohio (Sept. 9) -- After raining out four months ago, drivers competing in this year's Prelude to the Dream have returned to Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, Wednesday night, for the benefit of four worthy charities.

Leading the way is NASCAR superstar driver and SPEED TV commentator Kenny Wallace, who will be driving his JEGS.com Super Late Model racecar around the famous half-mile clay oval in search of a second Prelude title.

"We're ready to get after it again and hopefully the weather cooperates," Wallace said. "I need another win. Tony (Stewart) has won the last two and it's time to put an end to that nonsense. We'll all be gunning for him."

The line-up has changed slightly since the first event but still includes NASCAR favorites like Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Ryan Newman, Bill Elliott, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Robby Gordon, Brian Vickers, David Reutiman, Marcos Ambrose, Kenny Schrader, Dave Blaney, Aric Almirola, and Ray Evernhan, along with Funny Car professionals Ron Capps and Cruz Pedregon.

"It's intense racing," Wallace said. "The trophy could be made out of mud and we'd still run each other over the wall to get it. That's the way we're all wired. The main thing is to make some money for the charities Tony has lined up so I encourage everyone to order the pay-per-view on HBO or get over here to the track if they can."

The event will be broadcast live beginning at 7 p.m. ET on HBO, and will be rebroadcast several times in the following days. The cost is $24.95. Check HBO Online for more details.

All proceeds from this year's Prelude will be split between the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Wounded Warrior Project, Fisher House, and Operation Homefront.

"Regardless of your opinions on what's going on in the world, we all love our soldiers and if we can do anything to help them out, then that's what we need to do," Wallace said. "That and win the race."
