I have been a fan of RUSH since I was 12 and I am now 40, Have seen them every year at Indy since then and man they only get better and better, Matter of fact they are freakin awesome. Planning on attending the August 26 show at Verizon Wireless Music Center in Indy. Thanks for the youtube link...

thank goodness for cell phones and email.
my 44 yr. old cousin emails me from san jose, ca today and types,
'i'll be at rush concert tonite in mountain view, make sure you have your
cell phone handy around 11pm CST'.
now there's a call worth waiting for!

I didn't think Getty Lee's voice could be any higher!

"Getty"
"Getty"
"Getty"

???
C'mon Joe; you know better than that!!! LOL ;)

This years show was one of the better ones that I've seen in the last 27 years! Of course having Lisa with me helped!!!:D

Great mix of old with the Snakes and Arrows stuff!
Like fine wine; they DO get better with age!
:)

I guess I should have said that I have seen them EVERY YEAR THEY HAVE BEEN IN INDY, sorry for the confusion...

lol, with them being at Seattle two weeks ago and with all the love they seem to get here I was starting to wonder if they tour with NHRA. They do seem to be the official band of NHRA.

I remember reading a critic in Rolling Stone who obviously wasn't a Rush fan say that Getty Lee's voice sounded like a combination of Robert Plant and Donald Duck!:D

I went to a Rush concert here in Ct about 10 or so years ago.

At that time I thought it was the WORST live show I had EVER seen. (other than the lead singer......can't remember his name........CRS disease:D.....for J.Geils falling off the stage drunk in the 70's).

Geddy Lee sounded like a Beagle that had similtaniously swallowed a bowl of Vietnamese Hot sause while standing in a electrified puddle of water and then accidentally sitting on a Rat trap!!!!!

And this coming from someone that constantly had their LP's on the turntable while in my 20's.

We all walked out before the end of the show.

Glad everyones experience is turning out better than I had.......

Rush falls into the category of:

"You either get it...or you don't"

For those that don't..it all comes across as annoying and jibberish.
For those that do..it borders on a religious experience.

Welll......I had "got it".

Alas for that one live show after that I guess I lost it.

I thought their studio stuff was AAA

I do realize that acoustics of the venue and a poor/marginal sound man can really muck up the works, so I can say that this could definitely have affected their appearence that night.

Except for Lee's screeching the rest of the the band was an unintellegable WALL of noise.

When we left I felt like I had a concussion.

Like I said, I'm glad others had a better time than I.
