Dave Hedges and the Knoll Gas - Torco Racing Fuels Top Alcohol Dragster Team will be in action this weekend at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio for the Lucas Oil Series divisional event. The Team that qualified #1 at the Valdosta divisional earlier this season is hoping to have some of the same success in the first Division 3 event of the year.
"This car has been running well so far this year. We are always looking for ways to pick up the performance and we were able to test some of those ideas last weekend in Michigan. We are really looking forward to getting back on the track to see what we will be able to accomplish this weekend," said crew chief Brian Pfeifer.
The Team, which finished in the Top 10 of the Division last year, is excited about making the trip east to Summit Motorsports Park for the first time with the Top Alcohol Dragster Team.
"Making the show in this class at any Division 3 event is tough. We plan to take the weekend one step at a time and hopefully that will put us in the winner's circle on Sunday. This will be our first trip with the TAD to Norwalk since it turned NHRA the end of last year. We are looking forward to seeing what the track can hold; hopefully we will see some great runs for the Ohio fans."
Event qualifying will begin on Friday evening at 6 PM. On Saturday, they will get two more qualifying attempts at 3:30 and 8:30 PM. Eliminations will begin on Sunday at 1 PM and continue throughout the day. For up to date information throughout the weekend please log onto dragracecentral.com.
