<p>(9-17-08) Kernersville, NC - Get ready for the 1st annual Outlaw Mad Dawg and All Door Car Jamboree coming Saturday, September 20th to O'Reilly Farmington Dragway. This will be one action packed day and night of racing, burnouts, wheel standing and more at the Farm. Featured will be the Nitrous fed and supercharged Quickest 8 Outlaw Mad Dawgs in wild side by side action on the all concrete 1/8th mile Farm surface. Gilmer Hinshaw won the last Farm Mad Dawg back in May over the “Gunslinger” Andy Beal. The “Carolina Kid” Travis Havrey driving the Race Tech Camaro picked up the last “Dawg” win over Sambo Price at the the “dirty Mo” in August. So you can bet there will be over twenty cars in the house ready for the dawg fight that is Quick 8 Mad Dawg racing. You can go to Mad Dawg Home Page for more series information. Featured along with the “dawgs” will be the quickest 16 door cars the “Badd 16”. If you love IHRA TOP Sportsman style door car racing, then this is the class for you. Todd Baker of Taylorsville, NC scored the last Badd 16 win over Arthur Whitley from Albemarle, NC back at Doorcarpalooza. Along with this fast door car action there will be TOP Doors (0-7.99), Foot Brake Door and Street classes. Plus at this event there will be a special class for all “open bodied” cars (Dragsters and Roadsters) to compete in the “Open Bodied Shootout”.

Now, if the racing isn’t enough, there will be for the first annual “ Farm Hang ‘em High Wheel Standing Contest. The car that can travel the longest/farthest and highest or til you turn it over will be the winner of $1,000.00. Plus the regular great Bunton-Lebe burnout contest for the dawg racer that does the longest, smokest, nastiest, most out of control burnout during the three rounds of Mad Dawg qualifying. If you want even more BurnOut for your bucks, then stay around for the grand finale at the end of the race. “King of the Street” Burnout Contest for street legal cars and trucks. “Go to they blow” at the end of the night to see who can create the most smoke, and go the farthest before they pop ‘em old street tires. Don’t forget about our Miss Mad Dawg contest to crown a lovely lady queen of the Mad Dawgs for the night.

Local Racers the Williams Brothers Rise Up to the Challenge; Hang Em High Wheel Standing Contest this Saturday, September 20th…..”Wheelie Bars optional!!!!”


Local Farmington standout TOP Eliminator racers Bobby and Tony Wiliams of Kernersville, NC have stepped up to the plate to enter the 1st annual Farm “Hang ‘em High Wheel Standing Contest” Saturday, September 20th at the Outlaw Mad Dawg/Door Car Jamboree. Bobby, who drives the “Dead Serious” Camaro in Calico Coatings TOP Eliminator, and will attempt to ride the WSC powered entry as high and as long as she will take him. Wheel stands have long been the most popular part of drag racing. We’ll see who can go the highest, carry them the longest and farthest Saturday, September 20th at Farmington Dragway. Remember these want be paid wheel standers, these car will be actual RACE CARS, trying to transfer and hold the power to the track. Wheelie bars will be optional at this event, however all other safety devices must be in place.

After this event, we may have to issue pilots license to racers. Up for grabs is a $1,000.00 top prize to the driver/car that goes the highest and farthest as voted on by the fans. There will be two rounds of practice at 5 and 6:30 PM and two rounds of eliminations will follow thereafter.

The “Old School Grudge” of the year will be going on this Friday Night, September 19th, to help official “kick off” OutLaw Mad Dawg weekend at the Farm. Featured in a “Best 2out of 3” Run what’u brung” style grudge run will be the “Skinny Kid” Mike Heath of Pfafftown, NC and the “Blown By YOU” man Keith Floyd of Lexington, NC. Heath will be driving the 615 (cu.in.) BUCK Racing Engines Nitrous fed OLDSmobile of former Farm Champion Mark “the KID” Jones from Rural Hall, NC. This “Rocket Olds” of the “Kid” Jones is the former Quick 8 car of Don Plemmons. Heath just recently blasted off a career best 4.33 ET 172 MPH charge at the last Mad Dawg race at the Dirty MO. This former Farmington TOP Rookie of the Year also picked the runner-up spot in the Lil Dawg (next quickest 4) and the Bunton-Lebe’s Tire & Automotive Best Burnout Award. His grudge match competition Keith Floyd from Davidson County, has been a long time heads-up competitor with his former Ken Regenthal (former Carolina Hooker) ’63 Corvette. Now sporting 500 plus cube inches of “BlowN By You” supercharged power in his “GUS Racing” Chevrolet. Floyd fresh off a big win at the Motormile Dragway has posted some 4.30 ET runs and will be ready for the “Kids” Nitrous tuned Oldsmobile.

The Grudge rules are simple: Run what u brung and hope u brung a enuff!, Best 2 out of 2, Heads-up PRO TREE, NO TIMES (on the boards). So who will win the grudge? Old VS NEW, Nitrous VS Blower?, Rookie VS Veteran, Corvette or OLDS, will also see what goes down this coming Friday Night, September 19th at Farmington Dragway.

Along with the Friday Night Grudge Wars will be regular great Farm Friday Test-N-Tune, Thunder races for street legal cars, trucks and motorcycles. Plus, regular great Friday night karaoke will be mixed in for one big night of old school grudge racing. Gates open at 5 PM and Time Runs start at 6 PM Admission $10.00 Kids under 12 Free.
