LAS VEGAS (Oct. 23, 2009) - Don Schumacher Racing NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series champion drivers Tony Schumacher, Ron Capps, Cory McClenathan, Jack Beckman, Matt Hagan and Matt Smith will sign autographs for fans at the Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower in Las Vegas on Friday, Oct. 30, from 9-10 p.m.
The event will take place during the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals race weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Oct. 30-Nov. 1).
Open to the public, the free "NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Autograph Session" will be held on the casino floor at the Stratosphere. Also, from Oct. 29 through Nov. 1, the NAPA AUTO PARTS Dodge Funny Car will be on display in the casino.
Following is the lineup of champion DSR drivers:
* Tony Schumacher - U.S. Army Top Fuel Dragster. Current Points Leader and winner of April’s race in Las Vegas. Six-time world champion and first driver in NHRA history to win five consecutive world titles: 2004-2008
* Cory McClenathan - FRAM Tough Guard Top Fuel Dragster. Has 31 career Top Fuel victories, is the first driver to break the 320-mph barrier and is the 2008 Las Vegas 1 champion
* Ron Capps - NAPA AUTO PARTS Dodge Funny Car. Two-time Las Vegas champion with 30 career victories. Winner in 2009 of five national events, including the April Las Vegas race
* Jack Beckman - Valvoline/ Mail Terminal Services Dodge Funny Car. National top-speed record holder of 333.66 mph and 2006 Las Vegas champion
* Matt Hagan - Shelor.com Dodge Funny Car. A 2009 NHRA Rookie-of-the-Year frontrunner and a finalist at April's Las Vegas NHRA event
* Matt Smith - Nitro Fish Ultimate Gear Suzuki Pro Stock Motorcycle. Is the 2007 NHRA world champion, and has 10 career national event wins
