INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 1, 2011) – Known around the world as the “Racer’s Doctor” for his aggressive treatment of motorsports injuries, Dr. Terry Trammel has assembled an outstanding panel of presenters for the second Youth Safety Conference on Saturday, Dec. 10, part of the third International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) Dec. 8-10, 2011, at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

IMIS is a three-day trade show featuring seminars, conferences and hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest in racing parts and technology.

“If you’re the parent of a young racer, you will want to attend the 2011 Youth Safety Conference,” said Chris Paulsen, owner of C&R Racing and one of the founders of IMIS, along with two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and Indiana native Tony Stewart and Indiana businessman Jeff Stoops. “Dr. Trammel has put together a strong program for any family with young racers. Whether the kid races a Junior Dragster or Quarter Midget, the program will be valuable to anyone.”

In addition to presenting himself, Trammel has assembled a who’s who list of expert presenters, including 2011 Indianapolis 500 pole winner Alex Tagliani and his wife Bronte, former driver and female racing advocate Lyn St. James, three-time NHRA Top Fuel champion Larry Dixon, INDYCAR Director of Medical Services Dr. Mike Olinger, and biomedical scientist and NASCAR safety consultant Dr. John Melvin.

Demonstration stations have also been added to the 2011 Youth Safety Conference agenda. Attendees will get hands-on training with the latest safety gear and equipment specially designed for young competitors. Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to walk the IMIS 2011 show floor to see the latest in motorsports technology and equipment for every form of racing.

Cost for the IMIS 2011 Youth Safety Conference is $25 per racing family. The cost also includes Saturday admission to the IMIS trade show floor.
