BARKLAGE RACING LOOKING TO DOUBLE UP AT HOME
Zach and Cody Barklage Take on Serious Competition at Ozark International Raceway

ROGERSVILLE, MO (September 12, 2007) – The brother duo of Zach and Cody Barklage are making their annual trip to the Street Machines Shootout at Ozark International Raceway, in Rogersville, Missouri.

Considered to be one of the hometown tracks to the team, both Zach and Cody have done their fair share of winning at Ozark. With an additional $2000 bounty for the first 3 second pass, the team is extra motivated to out perform their competition.

“We have always done well at OIR,” said Zach Barklage. “We have run there several times, and know the track well. We know the conditions can be tricky, but the weather should be good for everyone to step it up. We have worked hard fine tuning out program, and believe we have a solid team for this event. Dave [ Jordan ] and my dad have worked hard this year ironing things out, and hopefully we can go out there and go rounds.”

“There will be a lot of good cars there,” added Cody Barklage. “You can never count out anyone, especially at Ozark, but with competition like Ron Muenks, Jim Wiens, Eddie Rogers, John Hocking, and the rest of the incredible field, we know we will have our work cut out for us. My brother and I have grown up racing at OIR, so we love racing there and love winning there. I just want to see one of our Lucas Oil, U.S. Marine Corps cars in the winners circle.”

Also on board this weekend will be the U.S. Marine Corps. The team will be aiding the local recruiting efforts around the Springfield, Missouri area.

Despite success at Ozark International Raceway, the team is heading into this event as they do any other. With local bragging rights, substantial purse money, and high hopes resting on the shoulders of the young drivers, the team is confidant they will provide their competitors with tough racing action.
