ATCO RACEWAY THE 2008 OUTLAWS AT ATCO PRESENTS
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS RACE September 6th & 7th.2008
This program is the answer for the ultimate race. Both 1/4 Mile & 1/8 Mile race enthusiasts.
Saturdays’ program will feature Pro Modified, Outlaw 10.5, Drag Radial, and Heads Up 10.0 & 12.0 Index categories.
All classes will have (2) Two qualifying sessions followed by Eliminations on the Full quarter mile. Pro Modified and Outlaw 10.5 will be racing for a $10,000 Winners purse, Drag Radial will be racing for a $5,000 Winners purse.
As of this writing, Heads Up 10.0 and 12.0 Index will be running for seasonal points and hopefully a larger purse through additional sponsorship.
Sundays’ program will feature Pro Modified, Outlaw 10.5, Drag Radial on the 1/8th mile. Payout for the Sunday race will be $5,000 Winners purse in Pro Modified and Outlaw 10.5, Drag Radial will be racing for a $2,500 Winners purse. Heads Up 8.50 Index will also run on Sunday but as a 1/4 mile (quarter mile) point’s race. Heads Up 8.50 Index with additional sponsor monies will hopefully race for a larger purse for this event only. Heads Up 8.50 Index will receive (2) Two qualifying sessions on Sunday.
The (3) Three Pro classes will get (1) one last chance qualifier for the 1/8th mile event on Sunday. For the (3) Three Pro classes, the overall best 1/8 mile qualifying time from Saturdays’ ¼ Mile event will count toward Sundays’ race program. That’s Qualifying only, NOT the actual elimination rounds from Saturday Nights program.
That’s (2) Two Race Events in (1) One Weekend!
Atco’s new marketing department for 2008 will work to obtain manufacturer and sponsor support. We will make a special effort in getting a sponsor to post monies for the racer that can win both The 1/4 mile event and The 1/8 mile event.
Based on the weather conditions, the idea of this race is to set the records for both 1/4 & 1/8th Mile. Atco's Management believes this can be accomplished with the....
Planned improvements for 2008. To extend the concrete starting line to the 660’ (1/8th mile). The hook is always The best and this New Extended Race Surface should produce monster times and great mph.

The TENTATIVE Atco Raceway Schedule for 2008 will be posted on the Atco website on Friday Nov 30.
