Applied Imaging Rejoins Team Kalitta for Run at U.S. Nationals Title

Ypsilanti, MI (August 28, 2019) --- During the U.S. Nationals last season Team Kalitta hosted a contingent from Applied Imaging at the most prestigious drag race in the world showcasing the business to business opportunities NHRA drag racing offered. Now one year later Applied Imaging returns to Indy branded on all four Team Kalitta nitro entries. The award-winning Michigan based company focuses on managed print and network services as well as hardware and software solutions for companies across the Midwest and is looking to use their relationship with Team Kalitta to expand their reach and customer base.

At the Norwalk national event earlier this season Applied Imaging was the primary sponsor on Doug Kalitta’s Top Fuel dragster. By all accounts the event was a success for Applied Imaging on both the business and entertainment levels.

“The Norwalk event was tremendous,” said Scott Grinwis, Director Business Development for Applied Imaging. “The energy and the engagement from Team Kalitta were amazing. They spent time with us and introduced us to the sport. We are now fans and see all the benefits from a business standpoint of aligning Applied Imaging with Team Kalitta. We are excited to be back with all four race cars for the U.S. Nationals.

Applied Imaging will once again host guests in Team Kalitta hospitality as well as incorporate the excitement and fan accessibility into their social media channels. The extension to all four Team Kalitta entries is also something that benefits both organizations.

“The engagement on my Top Fuel dragster was a great first step to introduce Applied Imaging to Team Kalitta,” said Doug Kalitta, 45-time Top Fuel winner. “We were able to show them the marketing power of one race car and they immediately saw the benefit to being on multiple race cars in multiple categories. We are excited to see this relationship growing. It will be a busy weekend for everyone and we are looking forward to winning a lot of rounds for Applied Imaging in Indy.”

Applied Imaging will be featured on the head shield of Doug Kalitta’s Mac Tools dragster and the rear wing of Richie Crampton’s DHL Top Fuel dragster. They will be branded on the spill plates of both J.R. Todd and Shawn Langdon’s Toyota Camry Funny Cars during the race.

Qualifying for the NHRA U.S. Nationals will begin this Friday at 8 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Raceway Park outside of Indianapolis. Qualifying will continue with two sessions each day on Saturday and Sunday with final eliminations starting at 11 a.m. ET on Monday. Fans can tune into five hours of live coverage on FS1 and FOX beginning at 11 a.m. ET.
