Enters this weekend's event ranked sixth in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Series points race; the highest ranking Mopar/Dodge entry in the series.
Johnson is only 53 points out of fifth place behind Kurt Johnson.
The J&J Racing team is looking for their first Top-five championship finish in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Series in Pomona this weekend.
Johnson’s best series finish was sixth place in 2003.
Qualified 14th in the spring event at Pomona Raceway; lost to Warren Johnson in the first round of eliminations.

PRE-EVENT QUOTES:
"Getting into fifth place, that's all that's on my mind. We're only 52 points out of fifth and that definitely is giving us some motivation heading into Pomona . We just need to have some good luck and go some rounds; we're right where we need to be in order to end this season on a high note."
