Shut down the computer on sunday race day.
Do you know how to read? Obviously not, or you have a reading comprehension problem. As I wrote in the very first post: before it's aired on TV. Comprehend that?

There's many other threads here to read besides just who won what. I'm not asking people to stop posting, I'm just asking to keep the names of the winners out of the thread titles until after it's aired. Pretty simple, no? It sure works fine on the motorcycle forum I'm on and there are no complaints. If you want to know who won and discuss you can click on the thread and post all you want. It keeps everyone happy because those who want to post can post and those who don't want it spoiled can post in other threads without having it spoiled in the thread title(s).

Brent, I'm not sayin' I'm just sayin'.....I see your point.

Hey! I just don't see the need to change the majority's actions to suit one person.

Um, we could call it the Busch Rule! Or, is that the Nationwide Rule?

Re: How about a new rule?

Brent,
Comprehend this!! People on this website post when they feel the need, those that don't want to be 'spoiled' wait till they have watched the show, whenever that may be on ESPN2. Unlike you, there are some that don't need or want to wait for the show and post at their own discretion. You just need to use yours (discretion) to decide when you log on and join in. Maybe just visit your motocross website only on Sunday's, and this one on Mondays. That way you are happy.
For most others here, this works just fine.
Have a great week!!

So yesterday a thread entitled "First Female Winner in Funny Car!" would've been OK, because there was nobody's name in it.

Brent, is this east coast or west coast airing? I am already on the the "wanted dead or alive list". Is this another attempt to have me banned from posting?

He might have figured that one out!! He is asking for no current racing posts at all until Monday, when he is ready. Anything else 'spoils' his day and you could be subject to a penalty.
Good try though~~~~~

Re: How about a new rule?

For years now I have been listening to the audiocast and enjoying the boards without cable or a dish. Now I can get the race on ESPN 360 on my computer. I don't always watch it because I enjoy the audiocast.

So what did I do yesterday? I stayed away from the boards until I saw the race. Seems easy to me.

You have to remember there are those of us who do not watch it on TV.

Re: How about a new rule?

my typical race weekend is audiocast all three days, flipping to DRC to get the times bob frey misses and watch both the qualifying and race on espn.

ain't no such thing as TMI on race weekends. beats waiting a couple of weeks for drag news or n/d.... or a couple of months for ss/di, drag racing usa, or car craft for race reports.

guess it's me, but if you don't want to know NOW, why come here.

I thought I made it pretty clear:

Re: How about a new rule?

I gotta say you guys are being pretty harsh on the poor guy.

All he asked was for people to not post names in the titles until the race has been shown on tv(ok the penalty thing was out there but). Agree or not is fine but WOW.

PJ,
You are very kind to Brent and maybe I have been harsh.
I don't agree with what he is asking. He needs to stay off line on Sunday's cause what he is asking for will never happen. There are many people that have no access or choose to not turn to the TV broadcast and use the internet for this purpose.
I guess if a person prefers to not have results exposed before any paritcular race is aired, the best advice is to stay off this forum. Otherwise, a person will get the immediate results.
Pretty simple answer for him, and we are just trying to get that across.
Next thread~~~~~

Once again, you're wrong. Have you not been reading all of the posts? Did you not read my post where I mentioned a motorcycle board where this exact rule is in place and how well it works? The only reason it won't work is because some people are idiots. That's where the ban comes in. After the ban of one week went into effect at the motorcylce forum there hasn't been one incident since where people have spoiled the race before it's been aired on tv.

I have read all your posts completely. I suggest that you read the replies that have been sent. Maybe that is the problem here. Sometimes people should do more receiving than sending.
You just need to stay on your motorcycle board on Sundays because no matter how logical you think this request is, it will not happen on NitroMater. Save yourself the anguish. Just a suggestion, for what it is worth. Do whatever you feel is necessary.
Good Day!!
