DALE EARNHARDT C5R CORVETTE TO APPEAR AT
MUSCLECAR MADNESS
York, Pennsylvania, February 11, 2008
The C5R Corvette of Dale Earnhardt will be on display at
this year's Musclecar Madness at the York Reunion show
to be held at the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds on
July 11-12th.
The original vehicle that Dale Sr. ran in the 24 Hours of Daytona just prior to his last Daytona 500 will be at the 7th
Annual Musclecar Madness show. The car is the actual
race car and not a replica.
The 7th Edition of the popular York show is presented by
York Traditions Bank and GGS Technical Publications
Services along with associate sponsors Weis Markets
and Year One.
Larry Reyes the former driver of the Roland Leong "Hawaiian" funny car, Bruce Larson and his World
Champion Oldsmobile funny car will be in attendance
during the two day "Tribute to Oldsmobile". Oldsmobile
Club of America will be represented by attendees
nationwide celebrating this special occasion.
Ronnie Allyn, Elvis impressionist and a regular at Atlantic City, will present a program "Remembering Elvis" on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
John Troxell longtime Oldsmobile standout will join
the Legends of Drag Racing i.e. Wally Booth, Gordy
Foust, Sam Auxier, Jr., "Miss Hurst Golden Shifter"
Linda Vaughn, Joe Jacono, Arnie "Farmer" Beswick,
Bud Faubel, "The Voice of Drag Racing" Jon Lundberg,
and many others at the Annual Reunion for the York
US 30 Dragway, the track that touched so many lives.
The show is a benefit for the York County SPCA. A special
memorabilia auction will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The Ford Fairlane Club will present a display on Friday
on the West Plaza along with the York County
Corvette show on Saturday.
The 7th Annual show is the "original" performance heritage
show with hours on Friday from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and
Saturday, 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with action moving to
Beaver Springs Dragway on Sunday, July 13th for the
presentation of the annual York Nostalgia Nationals beginning at 8 a.m.
