only 1???? was it the sudden rough time shifting on race day or the bad light followed by the 1/2 second detuning

Re: Team Orders Addressed?

Nobody has mentioned anything about the match-up between Matt Smith and Chris Rivas in round 2 of PSM. Did Chris' bike really not shift or did he take a dive for his teammate? Chris killed him on the tree (.005 vs. .119) and was well ahead until all of a sudden he sits up on the bike and lets Matt go by for the win. I'd forgotten about this until I just read something over at Psychobike.

Re: Team Orders Addressed?

First off, Chris's bike broke a transmission. If you are privy to the engine graphs and inside the trailer you will see that.

Secondly, Chris is an RFC chaplain with unimpeachable integrity.

So, for what it's worth -- I'll stake my reputation that the aforementioned happened.

On paper it looks suspicious. In real life, it is crystal clear.

Exactly PJ,
Real or not, from here on out it's going to be scrutinized by the masses.

Re: Team Orders Addressed?

here's the end of the article on comp. plus as quoted by mr. head.......

Quote:
“You are committed to race and if you have sponsors with any pride, they won’t tolerate it. It’s a slippery slope and once you do it once, where do you stop? You win in the name of what? As far as I am concerned, (the money) is chicken feed at the end of the season. We don’t race for a lot of money and it’s just not enough to swap your integrity.

“You can say a lot of things about me, I might not be the best racer out there but I’m a good businessman. I make business decisions every day and they do not include fraud.”
emphasis on "(the money) is chicken feed at the end of the season"
and "I make business decisions every day and they do not include fraud."

points, shmoints.......give it a rest.
all nhra is trying to say is hey, we're into the last stretch of our new
points season; for the integrity of everyone, from the fans to the teams
to nhra itself, let's run the rest of the season like the ladies and gentlemen
that we are; we're all trying to move forward towards more sponsors,
more tv, more exposure for nhra drag racing; let's not screw it up by
behaving greedily.
