I think it's awesome what he does for kids and that's why I posted this topic a couple of weeks ago.

A round of applause for David Baca and Mach 1

I think the drag racing community as a whole is incredible for the amount of support they show kids in general, especially those who are disadvantaged. No other sport gets so many kids so close to the action as does the NHRA.

I can only speak from personal experience but I have to give a HUGE shout out to Gilby's team (especially, Bob, Berzerko and Nicky) for all they've done for my son whether in-season or off-season.

To guys like Gilby, Baca and Wilk too...I give you all a HUGE thanks.

Thanks for the link. The article was great. David Baca just seems like an all-around good guy. He seems to love the fact that he gets to race and seems to have so much compassion for those kids.

After reading his blog and hearing about all the charity works he does I've become a big fan. If you ever want to know what its like to make a pass, read his blogs he puts you in the seat.
