Re: Dale Emery

First time I saw Dale, he was driving the Pure Hell fuel altered. Almost gave me a heart attack.

Get well soon Dale. Here's one from 1977 when I was 15 at the old Houston track.

Re: Dale Emery

Man by the time I found this Dale was out of the woods and I'm really glad.
Some of us work a lot you know.

Men tend to diagnose ailments on their ride with a critical eye and ear but will tune out pains and changes in physiology like a 2 nd grader.

I thought I had heart problems at 57 and after getting a clean bill of health from a specialist I called Lifeline screening to get checked for artery disease and ended up getting all four non-evasive [ you don't even have to take any thing off but a sock ] tests.

I had hits on two tests and was told to get further tests which confirmed blockage in my carotid artery and the beginnings of osteoporosis a bone degenerative disease.
I only had those tests done because the whole package of four tests was only $125.00.
The two I hit positive on were not the one I really went for.
It was negative.
Everybody who attains a size 40 waist should get a blood sugar test done as well as a colon test every three years after 50.
The lifeline non-evasive tests for a mere $125.00 are a traveling outfit and you can call 1 888-683-4068 to find out when it will be near you.
Ladies , men are notorious for letting health concerns go till they fall out on the floor so do as you were taught and rag em till they take care of business.
I stayed away from Dr's till 57 and it took a couple years to get all systems checked and now like the older generation I too need a satchel to carry my meds.

You know your getting old when your pill bag is larger than your carry on. LOL
The Dr's want to keep us alive for job security.
The new definition of better living through chemistry.

Hope to see Dale around for a long time.
My Chief Engineer just came back to work after two years off due to an enlarged leaking heart.
They told him he would never be able to work again then all of a sudden out of the blue his Dr said OK your fine now take your blood thinner keep the diet and the weight down and see you in a year. Go Figure ! It happens.

Sorry to hijack the thread but since I'm a guy I know there is someone reading this who needs to be checked cause he has already determined his get up and go has got up and went or his stool is rather black or those chest pains are more frequent or why am I gaining weight when I'm eating the same .
$125.00 bucks for a little security isn't much. IMO
I really like seeing old friends at the races not at the hospital or the graveyard.
OK rant over!

Men aren't the only ones who can have undetected problems.
Went to the doctor some years ago to get a long needed check up (it had been 10 years) and found out that I had blood pressure that was high enough that the doctor though I would stroke out in a week. Not overweight, no other indicators. A little pill once a day and there we go. Cheap solution in comparison to hospitalization or worse.

Everyone should taake the time to take care of themselves.

I wish Dale a speedy recovery adn a long happy life.
