The next time you see the tape watch what Robert does after he gets on the roof. He realized where he was on the track and looks down to get his foot on the brake handle to slow it down as much as he could before it got to the sand. You have to admire a guy in that situation that is still trying to minimize the damage to his racecar.

I don't think he was worried about damage control as much as he was worried about going so fast when he hit the sand that the car would flip and it land on top of him. I think that is what he said in one interview.

Still, to have the presence of mind to collect your thoughts in that situation, and then act accordingly, is admirable!!
