This is sad news.
It seems he is as much a part of history as shirley.
and it shows up 5 days after his passing.

Pretty cool that Shirley kept the name and always gave him credit for her success. He was definitely a talented individual.

I can't believe that this hasn't already been posted.

Jack Muldowney, who not only shared his last name with one of drag racing's greatest legends, three-time NHRA Top Fuel world champ Shirley Muldowney, but more importantly helped launch her career, passed away May 24 of cancer. He was 70.
