Beautiful track. Looks good after the renovations but still has that “old time drag racing” feel about it. 9 funnies and 10 fuelers made passes last night under what will probably be best conditions of the weekend. Should stay dry but it will be hotter.

29 cars had pre-registered for the event, but for one reason or another, they didn't all make it. I gotta say though. I've never seen a crowd like the one tonight at US 131. It was absolutely packed. It feels like something big is happening just below the surface. It was pretty exciting. 42 pro mods and a 6.18 bump spot. Quickest in IHRA history. Zizzo with his first #1 qualifier, and Mike Ashley making his appearance. Don Schumacher, Melanie Troxel, and Ron Capps spent some time in the announcing booth and all were very impressed with their IHRA experience. Capps especially is great in the booth by the way.

Very cool weekend.

I believe the Greek and Mitch King(both cars) were in Spokane this weekend. Fairly surprised neither Cowin or Densham showed up.

Yeah what about Cowin??? They really seemed to get their stuff together the last couple races then ran.

Very surprised not to see Densham or Cowin, since they were the winners at Milan. Maybe Gary wanted a break after the Western swing. With Cowin, you kind of wonder how strong that Serta sponsorship really is. Too bad since that car really was starting to run strong. Overall, I would say it was a great turnout anyways and another thanks to Evan Knoll for bringing the nitro funnies back to the IHRA. Too bad he didn't qualify but it looks like he has six of his sponsored cars in to try and knock off Millican.

I think you're probably right about Densham. With Cowin, I think he needed a different kind of passport to travel from Indiana to Michigan!
