did anyone notice the last pair ran on the espn2 broadcast and the fireworks went off..paul page was like whooooo. he thought the dragster blew up then he relized it was the fireworks going off...heehee.

Yep, that was kinda cute - he caught himself before too many words got out & called 'em fireworks instead.

From the camera angle we had (and presumably the same shot that Paul had in the truck) it looked just like a nitro boomer for a moment.

That's one reason I don't really like that the fireworks go off as the cars are passing the firework area.... They could give it another second or two and not scare anyone.

Paul wasn't the only one who thought it was a boomer for a few moments. I've seen the fireworks firsthand several times and even knowing they set them off it looked like a boomer from the angle they were filming.
