TV Update-
I thought I better let you guys on the Eastern side of the country know, that there was a NASCARP race that ran over about 20 minutes...
They are going to show the Catfish Classic in it's entirety...
SO THE DRAGS WILL NOT START ON TIME!!

Re: TV Update-
If you want to see something ridiculous, just watch how much money they win in one event...
I can take exactly eight steps out my back door and win $500,000 in 15 minutes... I kid you not!!

Never saw a nascarp race, or the catfish classic, BUT, did watch a fairly interesting BUSH race, and as far as the BASSMASTERS CLASSIC goes, would be willing to bet that a lot more viewers watched it than watched the nhra race. This is going to happen all year so may as well get used to it.

Re: TV Update-
I was gunna say the same thing..I was watching last night (and getting aggrivated) that Bassmasters was on and going overtime. I figured NHRA would get screwed but they let it go over by just as much (15 minutes I believe). I guess it's something we'll have to get use to this year (as every year past)...

I'm sorry we don't get those channels that run BUSH races... I would probably really enjoy that...
The BUSCH race that I saw part of, was put on by NASCRASH... No other reason to waste 2-5 hours of a good day... And I will agree with you about more people watching Bass fishing, rather then NHRA... Took my sisters car on a quick 80 mile trip at 4 in the morning and saw at least 40 bass boats heading to the delta in the dark...
It's all about what makes your boat float... So to speak...

Re: TV Update-
Didn't ESPN buy BASS? I seem to recall seeing that they did. So, no wonder they would be pushing these shows a little. But, I could be wrong, too.

Re: TV Update-
I've seen it delayed by womens beach volleyball, why not bass fishing? or hotdog eating? sport is what you make of it, I think thats how the comercial goes. I dont like it but we have complained for years and it hasn't changed.

Just wait till we get pre-empted by the National Spelling Bee (Is that REALLY considered a "sport"?)

Re: TV Update-
As someone who enjoys fishing myself, I have never understood the appeal of making a competitive sport of bass fishing. And to actually watch a bass tournament on television is even less appealing. But to each their own. BassMasters obviously gets good ratings or it wouldn't be on television. I guess I should just be grateful that NHRA qualifying was shown in its' entirety.

Maybe Cruz should have went with the Evinrude tuneup this weekend...that boat was running better than his FC.
