Does anyone know what the decibel level of a Top Fuel Dragster/Funny Car is, and how that compares to jets, etc?

I know someone's got some info.

At Indy a few years back some guy in front of us had a decibel meter. During an Alky Dragster session he was getting readings of 128 db. I'm sure the Fuel cars are probably 135-140? Not sure, but I doubt those levels would even touch an F-15 from 100 yards out!

I do know it depends where you are taking the reading from, and obviously what throttle position it's at. Connie Kalitta swears to this day you can hear the valves opening & closing at idle only when NOT wearing earmuffs. Keep in mind, this is coming from a man who's half deaf from doing this for 50 years. But I see other guys doing this too - only at idle.
