Russell lawsuit gets date

Saw this on another site, no link though.

June 11, 2007 is the trial date. The judge denied the dismissal motion.

Big grief coming or not?

I heard that Russell's wife wanted answers more than money. Still, this might cause a lot of trouble.

From what I gathered, a tire blew, the car broke in half, the wing came down and one of the support struts went forward and into the driver's compartment and punctured his helmet. Nothing more nothing less.

This is a sad situation. Anyone who gets into a vehicle designed for all-out-racing in any sanctioning body should be prepared for the worst.
So many things could go wrong when driving a 300mph vehicle.
The Russell suit is about money....Dixon organized an auction that raised a few $$$$ but when you do not have life insurance or a financial plan if you pass away then your loved ones are gonna go after anyone involved.

This suit will be dis-missed @ every level.
Shirley's case against a wheel maker was dis-missed in the 70's. Lori Johns suit vs Budweiser and Bernstein was ds-missed. Doug Kerhulas lawsuit was a loss. I could go on but his (Russell) legacy will be remembered by the NHRA and drivers as a lawsuit impending to the end...sad.

If they (NHRA) offered 5 million dollars we would not be hearing about this.

Julie Russell's intentions may be answers, but if you think her lawyer(s) are working for answers you'd be mistaken.

I am glad NHRA did not set such a ridiculous precedent.
