Nitro Blast Off in Vegas!
I am headed back to Vegas for a few days and guess what? It's the same weekend as the Nitro Blast Off at LVMS. It'll be my fourth year attending; I am so excited. And it probably won't snow while I'm there. Anyone else planning on being there?

Hey Alan,
Rick & I drew straws and I drew the Phoenix pre-season straw again. Strange the way that keeps happening...see you there?

Everyone keeps telling me it's unusual to see this much snow, and that it hasn't snowed this much since... 1973? My poor GTO has been parked in the garage for what seems weeks. Just crossing my fingers that I will be able to drive myself to work for the rest of the week; it's definitely the little things in life sometimes.

Blast Off will be very interesting! Can't figure out from the track's site if the "dip" has been repaired - any current news? I know it was supposed to be fixed by the first National Event.
Should be interesting to see who shows up ready to run! DSR and JFR should be ready to go, Fast Jack is the question mark here!
And then . . . Evan's four TF and two FC's! Six team owners (if Koretsky still owns former Werner team) and six very different crew chiefs.
Of course, we also have to see who is correct about Hot Rod! I'm still siding with Scoop. For some reason, there was no reply when I threw down the bet to the Mater Boyz.
I'm ready for some news - Fire 'Em Up!!!!!

I will be there.
I do believe the bump was fixed, the object was to give the teams something to tune from before coming here for the national event in April. I also can't find anything "concrete" (pardon the pun), but I am reasonably sure the necessary repairs have been made.

Saturday. Friday is normally a 2-3 330ft shut off passes. Saturday they will typically make 3-4 runs each over the course of the day, and they will usually stretch it out to at least 1,000ft if not at least 1 full pull. Sunday they usually make 1-2 passes and pack it up and get out of dodge.
