David is a real nice guy & I agree with everyone else - this really sucks. I saw him walking through the pits in Seattle a few years ago after he returned following a short lay-off and I told him how great it was to see him back out there - I hope we all get to say that to him again real soon...

Thanks for pointing that out Jim. I was under the assumption that it was an airline due to the name of the company, Mach 1 Air Services Inc. After a little research I found that it is a freight forwarding company that not only uses airline shipping but several other methods as well. I also had no idea that they were such a diversified company serving so many areas across the globe. This company is huge and definitely could afford a partnership with one of the bigger teams if that is what they are looking for?
Aside from my lack of knowledge regarding Mach 1 I still feel that the passenger airline industry would be a good fit with drag racing.

Baca's December 31, 2006 Blog:
Any team owner will tell you that the goal of winning a championship begins with corporate funding. Unfortunately, I was notified at the conclusion of this race season that Mach 1 Air Services was going to pursue other teams to diversify their involvement in the sport and that we would need to find a new major sponsor.
Ender's January 03, 2007 Announcement:
The announcement leaves the 23-year-old rising star in search of a major sponsor for 2007 and beyond. However, the team is confident that the favorable return on investment it produced for Revive-USA and former sponsor Bravo! Foods and its Slammers Ultimate Milk brand will help it procure another corporate backer to complement associate sponsors Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurants, Snap-on Tools, Aeromotive, Mach 1 Air Services, Impact Race Products, and Mopar.
Coincidence?

Tony, I noticed that too. Looks like Mach-1 Air Services wants to spread their sponsorship money around. Don't know if they were an assoc. sponsor of Enders last year or not.

No, actually I dont. David is one of the nicest guys I have ever meet and I would rather Mach1 had stayed with him then go to Force. David needs a sponsor bad and John aint hurting at all. However, I can see the reason any sponsor would want to go to JFR. I hope David finds a sponsor b/c I cant wait for the day he actually wins a top fuel race. Bye the way, I got a chuckle out of your post. It was funny.
