Now before I get to the top 3. (ok so its a dramtic pause too)

I would like to thank everyone for playing. We had 146 people play at some point this year. Most races had 35-50 people playing. I'm a stats junkie so I loved doing it. When I first started I thought it would be great if I had 30 or 40 people enter. I hope you all come back next year.

24 people entered every race this year and there were about 15 more that only missed one or two races.

I also want to say a huge thank you to Mark Bell for his generous gift to me as well as offering up a prize for the season winner. Aloha Shirts - Tropical Clothing - Hawaiian Shirts - Resort Wear

We had 2 repeat winners. Vincent Carmichael and Roger Hammom. Big Zappy gets the oh so close awards as he tied for a win 3 times but always lost out on the tie breakers.

John Rogers was the highest placing person who missed a race.

I was going to show who was the top picked people in each class but can't figure out a way to get exel to count that for me. If anyone knows how let me know.

ok enough delays

in 3rd place is Vincent Carmichael 344
2nd Todd Bade 346
1 Big Zappy 352 a near perect pick at the finals lead to a Tony Shumacher like smack down

Congrats to Big Zappy for being toe 2006 Pick the Winners Champ.
and no I do not spring for a ticker tape parade through your home town.
Of course by default as this is the first year you also win rookie of the year and set the record for most points in a season.

I hope everyone comes back next year to play. I'm always open to suggestions on improvements.

I knew I was close this week! I can't complain though! Finished in the top 5...(for a girl). Thanks PJ for all your hard, dedicated work! Maybe we could do a pick the champions too at the beginning of the year. I know over the winter I will have to rethink my strategies for next year. lol.

Wow, the winner isn't even a member of this board. Anyway, congrats to all and a big thanks goes out to PJ for managing the whole program.

Yes, thanks PJ for running this. I enjoyed it, especially my short lived time at the top, once I reached it I fell faster than Kalitta's championship hopes yesterday in the TF final. Oh well, maybe next year I can reach the top and stay. Big Zappy deserved to win, he was at the top the whole year for the most part.
