There is only two participant changes from the current system and the new system. Troxel is currently in 4th, but Fuller bumped her out in the new system. The other one is Chip Ellis is relplaced by Karen Stouffer.
Troxel misses the final four by 44 points. Tony Pedegon missed by less than 1 round (15 pts) . TJ was only 27 back of Capps for 4th. Kurt Johnson missed out by 39 points.

Really PJ? I must have missed that memo!!! I am with you. I think you should have to earn the right to be called champion over the course of the year, not 4 or 5 races. Ridiculous to me. I understand there reasoning behind it and all but I still think it sucks. Let me asks this: With John Force and Ron Capps going into Pomona only 1 round apart or them going in 100 pts and one already being the champ really make that many more people show up to Pomona? I dont think so. I know it wouldnt matter to anyone on here being that we are all fans and would go regardless but to me, if the normal fan who doesnt know squat about the pts race anyways, so how can it make that much of a difference. In Nascar I can see how it makes interest soar, but I really dont see it in NHRA. Maybe PJ and I are missing the boat on this one, but I dont think so.

Like I said in another post, this will be last year of a true champion, one that earned their points on the track, not by some handicap system!
