why ashley force wasn't in competition this weekend??

Aren't there only so many National Events that a Top Alcohol Dragster can run in a year?

You asking why she wasn't in her A/FD dragster competing, or in her Funny Car competing? If it was the dragster, then I believe Richard's answer is probably the reason. As far as the Funny Car, you may have missed John mentioning that he can't spare any of his crew to run her car on the weekend since he's in the points battle...and leading it!

Actually I think you can run as many as you like, however you can only count a certain number for points.

I think it's 8 Natl. events and 5 divisionals is all you can count points?

my apologies.....i prolly should have worded this better I meant why isnt she competeing in her A/FD? i am pretty sure that Ron is right, you can run as many national events as you'd like. I think you can count points at 8 national and 8 divisional events, but i am no expert on the Sportsman Classes. And she is scheduled to be testing today

I read somewhere (compplus article I think) that she wasnt driving this weekend but was flying in on Sunday to watch the race and test today. Not sure the exact reason why she didnt drive the dragster this weekend. I thought I heard why but I cant remember now.

Ashley was there on the first weekend, but didn't return. The crew had been out for something like 11 straight weeks and had planned for the weekend off. When the rains came last week, they decided not to make the return. She couldn't claim points so they (the team) just took the time off. Ash did fly in to test Monday, but I haven't heard any results.

She will be running the Reynolds, Ga. division 2 race next weekend, since she is claiming points in that division.
