An antique/classic car show and nostalgia drag cars, held in Historic Downtown Henderson, NC. Judging, entertainment, muscle car burnouts and drag race legends are honored at an induction ceremony.

Friday, October 20
12:00 pm -7:00 pm Barbecue Cookout for Show, Shine, Shag & Dine and East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame guests.

Saturday, October 21
7:30 am - 11:00 am Registration for 1975 and older antique/classic cars & nostalgia drag cars. Judged cars $20.00. Non-judged cars $10.00. Dash plaques to the first 400 cars.
7:30 am - 4:30 pm Show & Shine, entertainment, DJ, vendors and muscle car burnouts.
11am - 2 pm: Al Williams and the Assembly Band.
7:30 pm - 10:00 pm Cruise-ins at Andy's Cheesesteak and Sonic Grill

Legendary drag racers, antique & classic car collectors, writers, photographers, track operators and fans reunite for a weekend full of cruising, bench racing, scrapbook viewing and a trip down memory lane.

The Ronnie Sox race was a nice event. Very moving starting line ceremony with Ronnie and Malcolm Durham's widows and reading the names of the racers who passed this year. Race was good with mostly nostalgia doorslammers, including Classic Gassers. The crowd was a little light because it rained everywhere (including the track) although they got enough windows of dryness to get the show in. The rest of the event at Henderson was terrific, with chamber of commerce weather and lots of folks having a great time. bp
